There
6.4.20(7)(b)
There are no Designated Chemicals to be used in this operation. Refer to Exhibit C, 6.3.3(2)(x) for a list of non-
designated chemicals to be used. There is also a complete collection of MSDS for these chemicals at the end of
Exhibit C.
There is no acid mine drainage from any adits, tunnels, or underground mine workings on this site either pre-
existing or proposed.
On a temporary basis, as part of normal operations, the gravity and flotation concentrate products are collected and
stored in Intermediate Bulk Shipping Containers which are palletized polyethylene containers surrounded by a steel
skeleton framework for protection from impact and crushing. These containers measure approximately 42" cubic.
At any time there may be upto 30 of these such containers stored on site, staged prior to transportation offisite. It
shall be noted these containers meet stringent DOT standards for transporting this sort of material.
6.4.20(7)(c)
There wilt be no changes to the current, natural geological structure of the permitted area. All proposed operations
are surface in nature. The geochemical conditions will only improve by removing the acid forming materials
(sulfide minerals and heavy metals) from the pre-existing waste rock.
6.4.20(7)(d)
There are two groundwater monitoring points within the Ownership Boundary, shown in Exhibit A and E. A
monitoring well has been installed immediately down-gradient from the Tailings Impoundment Liner and Leachate
Collection System. This monitoring well will be sufficient to detect any breach or leaks in the composite liner
system. Any seepage and/or infiltration past the leachate collection system can also be detected here. A monitoring
well has also been installed up-gradient of the Tailings Impoundment. Testing done here provides a baseline
comparison with any results taken from the down-gradient monitoring well. See Exhibit E drawings for monitoring
well locations.
• These wells were installed at a depth of 20' (twenty feet) into solid bedrock. The wells were drilled at 2.375"
diameter and cased with nominal 2" perforated IfDPE plastic pipe to allow for any leakage/seepage to be measured
and/or collected. The pipe was grouted at the ground surface interface to prevent surface water inclusion. A
lockable cap has been installed. There was no groundwater detected at the time of installation. See the figure that
follows for an illustrative schematic of this installation:
Lod-ble
•
2' BR-11 HOPE
5` Bore

Non-Shrink Grout
Grade Llne- x2.37
1lineral Topsci J
Gravely,
urxonsoudated sou ?
Moderntely
Weathered Bedrock,
Slightly
Weathered Bedrock
bedrock-
Perforated, 3/16° DID,., ?? 11
Spaced I Cotunns,
V Annular Ruw>
Monltoring WQtt
Construction
