Barton and Gilleland,
COLORADO
DIVISION OF
RECLAMATION
MINING
SAFETY
Bill Ritter, Jr.
Governor
James B. Martin
Executive Director
Loretta E. Pineda
Director
The Division has reviewed the adequacy responses submitted to the Division, in the packet of materials received here
on July 19, 2010. It appears to address most of the points contained in the Division's adequacy letters, with a few
items still outstanding to address. All of these remaining items are briefly discussed in the following paragraphs.
BLM Environmental Assessment (EA).
All information that was found in the EA, that is also pertinent to this amendment and identified as an adequacy issue,
has now been clearly included in the text of your adequacy response. Thank you.
Application Form, Item 3, Page 1 .
Since the land area to be included in the amendment is now reduced from the amount originally proposed, all pertinent
amendment application materials must be revised to reflect this. Please submit a revised page 1 showing the proper
acreages. Your newest: Map A=3 shows an existing permitted acreage and the current proposed acreage, and if those
figures are still correct the revised application form page 1 should match those numbers.
Exhibit A - Legal Description Map.
The revised Map A-3 shows the revised permit boundary description and the correct acreage. Based on existing file
documents, the Division accepts the acreage figures shown on this map. There are two items on this map, however,
that must be corrected: the scales do not correspond, and the permit number is not correct. Please provide these
corrections and the map will be adequate.
Exhibit C - Mining Plan Maps.
The revised Map C-1 has been improved over the prior version. There are two items on this map, however, that must
be corrected: the map scales do not correspond, and the permit number is not correct. Please provide these corrections
and the map will be adequate.
The revised Map C-2 has been improved over the prior version. There is one item on the map that must still be
corrected: the permit number shown is incorrect. Please provide this correction and the map will be adequate.
Office of .
