This map must be signed by the registered land surveyor, professional engineer or
qualified person who prepared it.
A: Please see the attached revised map.
2.) The note listed on the map states, "The orientation of the final 3:1 slope is a
maximum slope limit, and may vary depending on the life of the operation." Please
clarify, will any slopes be reclaimed steeper than a 3:1 horizontal to vertical ratio?
A: All mined slopes will be reclaimed to 3:1 or flatter.
3.) Are the blue lines depicted on the map contour lines? If so, please label the various
elevations and indicate the contour interval.
A: Please see the attached revised map.
4.) Exhibit G indicates a berm will be built on the north and east side of the permit area
to control run off from leaving the mine area. Please depict this berm on the map.
A: Please see the attached revised map.
5.) The mining plan indicates an asphalt and concrete batch plant will be used within the
permit area to process the mined material. Please explain how the surface and ground
water system will be protected during processing of the mined material.
A: A berm will be constructed around the perimeter of the asphalt plant and or
concrete plant to prevent storm runoff from leaving the plant sites.
