4.27.4. Approval of the variance has allowed SCC to retain the flat mine bench, the existing <br />shop and warehouse, an access road and parking areas for the approved commercial postmining <br />land use at the South Portal facilities area. The specific findings required by Rule 2.06.5 and b <br />Rule 4.27,4 for the South Portal area are provided in Section B. VIII of the Proposed Decision <br />and Findings of Compliance for Permit Revision No. 3 dated July 30, 2007. <br />There are no other permit variance requests or approval for the Roadside Portals Mine. <br />SECTION VI — BONDING SUMMARY <br />The Division holds an approved bond on behalf of the perrnittee for the Roadside Portals thine. <br />The bond is a Corporate Surety from Liberty Mutual Insurance Company, Bond No. <br /> , in the amount of $1,,640,413.00. Pursuant to Rule 3.02.2(4), the Division has reviewed the <br />Roadside Portals Mine reclamation liability, in association with this midtenn permit review. we <br />have prepared an updated cost estimate (enclosed as Attachment 1). The new liability is <br />$1,722,908.00. This new liability is $82,495.00 more than the current liability of $1,640,413.00. <br />The reason for this increase is general cost increases since the estimate was last updated with <br />Permit Renewal No. 5 (completed on September 14, 2007).
