III. COMMENTS- COMPLIANCE <br /> Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the <br /> inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or <br /> evidence supporting the enforcement action. <br /> Temporary Highway Coal Stockpile Area(Partially Reclaimed) <br /> The cut slopes of this partially reclaimed site were stable and had a good vegetative cover.The remaining areas <br /> had a moderate vegetative cover. The sediment pond was dry. The mine id sign was up at the entrance and the <br /> surface disturbance markers were up around the site. The gravel and dirt entrance road was passable. <br /> Well Field <br /> Steven's Gulch road was dry and in good condition.Mine id signs were up at the appropriate locations and the <br /> two subsidence warning signs were up along Steven's Gulch road near the well field area. The road leading to <br /> the well field was also dry. The mine id sign was up, as were the surface disturbance markers.No problems <br /> were noted with the pump house or wells.The former topsoil stockpile pad was well vegetated. <br /> Records <br /> The Bowie No. 1 Mine records are located at the Bowie No. 2 Mine and were in order,as recorded on the <br /> following records checklist. <br /> c:/word2007/bowie]./insp0610 <br /> 2 <br />
