Therefore, the <br />Division acknowledges that by 3uly 3 Zelo it will provide interim authorization of the <br />proposed treatment and discharge (as described below and in your attachment from Whetstone <br />Associates), through an enforcer*ot process associated with Notice of Violation/Cease and <br />Desist order, Number 30-100691-1. <br />Such authorization will be term limited and will terminate upon notice or issuance of the <br />developing Colorado Discharge Permit System permit. <br />it should be anticipated that the interim authorization will include a uranium limit of 39 <br />ug/L and interim limits foe other applicable parameters (comparable with the current permit) <br />that are determined to be protective of the beneficial use classification and stream <br />standards associated with Ralston creek. Monitoring and reporting requirements will also be <br />comparable to the current permit. <br />Please take note that an approved license will also be necessary from the Department's <br />Hazardous Katerials and Waste Management Division (Radiation Program) and you should consult <br />independently with the Department of Natural Resources, Division of Reclamation Mining and <br />Safety for any requirements or needed approval from their agency. <br />if you have any questions or desire further infor'ation please do not hesitate to contact <br />Nike Harris or myself.
