Section 6.3.3(1) (h) of AM-01 states, "The water source will be from the water that is present in <br />the underground workings at the Mayday-Idaho Mining complex and from the Idaho <br />augmentation ponds. . . .' Please indentify all locations underground where such water <br />sources exist. Additionally, please clarify whether ground water will be pumped from these <br />underground water sources and if so, please describe and illustrate how this will occur. <br />The entire Exhibit C -Mine Plan has been revised and inserted in response to adequacy issue 11. This <br />specific issue was resolved on page 5 of Exhibit C-Mine Plan. <br />Attachment 18 <br />The requirements of Rules 6.3.3(1) (i), 3.1.6, 3.1.7, 6.3.3(1) (k), 6.3.3(1) (1), and 6.3.3(1) (m) are <br />not fully addressed. Please provide the information requested in the attached memo from <br />the Division's Geochemist, David Bird. <br />This adequacy issue was addressed through the attached "Attachment C-3a" memo addressing <br />David Bird's memo. <br />Attachment 19 <br />Section 6.3.3(1)(o) of AM-01 indicates that explosives will be utilized underground, provides a <br />summary of information required for blasting reports, and commits to conducting pre-blast <br />surveys for all structures located within 0.5 mile of the proposed shot. Attachment C-7 contains a <br />letter from Franklin Drilling and Blasting, Inc., dated February 24, 2010, and a statement from Terry <br />Morris Engineering, which is not signed or dated. Please note that engineering reports must be <br />signed and dated by the qualified person who prepared the report. If the qualified person who <br />prepared the report is a professional engineer, such report should bear the certification statement <br />and seal from that licensed individual. Additionally, the statements from Franklin Drilling and <br />Blasting and Terry Morris Engineering discuss the effects of underground blasting at depths of <br />1,000 feet or greater, but do not address the potential effects of blasting at or nearby the surface. <br />Near surface blasting has occurred at the site as recently as September 3, 2009, and the <br />application must address such activity. Please provide the information required by Rules <br />6.3.3(1) (o) and 6.5(4). <br />The entire Exhibit C -Mine Plan has been revised and inserted in response to adequacy issue 11. This <br />specific issue was resolved on page 11 of Exhibit C-Mine Plan A signed letter from Franklin Blasting <br />and Drilling is included in Attachment 19. <br />Attachment 20 <br />Pursuant to Rule 6.3.3(2) (a), please provide operation details for the milling plant including <br />tank capacities and operating solution volumes. <br />June 28, 2010 Response To DRMS Adequacy Issues May Day Mine and Mill Amendment M-1981-185
