The meeting was attended by Michael
Cunningham and Tony Waldron of the Division, as well as Rex Hiner and Sharon Hiner of R.M.
Hiner Construction Co. Inc. The meeting was held to discuss the outstanding problems at the
Greely Pit that were identified during an inspection conducted on March 16, 2010. The following
problems have yet to be resolved: v
1. Revise the Mining and Reclamation Plan Maps.
2. Revise the Mining Plan.
3. Submit damage waiver agreements for the utilities located within 200 feet of the affected
area. If a damage waiver agreement cannot be obtained, an engineering evaluation that
demonstrates that mining activities will have no adverse impact on the utilities may be
submitted.
4. Submit a plan for achieving compliance with the Division and the Office of the State
Engineer, in regard to the exposed groundwater on the site.
Mining and Reclamation Plan Maps
During the inspection conducted on March 16, 2010, it was noted the Mining Plan and
Reclamation Plan Maps do not accurately reflect the current configuration of the ponds.
Therefore, the maps must be revised to match the Mining and Reclamation Plans. At a minimum
the Mining Plan Map shall include the following information:
Outline and label the permit boundaries
• Label the names of owner(s) of record of the surface of the affected area and of the land
within 200 feet of the affected area.
o Identify the type of structure and owners of record of any permanent or man-made
structures within 200 feet of the affected area.
Office of Office of
Mined Land Reclamation Denver • Grand Junction .
