Box <br />68, Empire, Colorado 80438, has <br />filed an application for an <br />Amendment to its approved <br />Reclamation Permit with the <br />Colorado Mined Land Reclamation <br />Board (Board) under provisions of <br />the Colorado Mined Land <br />Reclamation Act. The proposed <br />Amendment, AM-06, replaces <br />withdrawn AM-05 and will: 1) Using <br />updated mapping technology, <br />correct the Affected Land boundary <br />and increase the total affected <br />acres to 4117 acres by the gross <br />addition of 568 acres of additional <br />buffer space and top soil storage <br />areas at the mill site; 2) Delete 2 <br />acres that encompass the Xcel <br />Energy easement from the new <br />total Affected Land; 3) Include 1 <br />acre of affected land (subsidence) <br />adjacent to the mill portal (USFS <br />Legal Right-To-Enter)- new total <br />Affected Land Area of 4117 acres. <br />The proposed changes will not <br />change the existing land use or the <br />present mining or milling <br />operations at Henderson. The <br />location is multiple section portions <br />in Township 2 and 3 South, <br />Ranges 77 and 78 West, 6th <br />Principal Meridian, Grand County, <br />Colorado. <br />The proposed date of effect for this <br />Amendment is immediately <br />following approval by the Board. <br />There is no change in mining plan <br />associated with this Amendment. <br />Additional information and tentative <br />decision date may be obtained <br />from the Colorado Division of <br />Reclamation, Mining and Safety, <br />1313 Sherman Street, Room 215, <br />Denver, Colorado 80203, (303) <br />866-3567, at the Henderson <br />Operations office, or at the Clerk and <br />Recorder's offices of Grand County <br />(Hot Sulphur Springs, Colorado) and <br />Clear Creek County (Georgetown, <br />Colorado). <br />Comments must be in writing and <br />must be received by the Colorado <br />Division of Reclamation, Mining and <br />Safety by 20 days following last day <br />of publication. <br />Published in the Clear Creek Courant <br />May 12, 19, 26, and June 2, 2010
