• SECTION 5.0 Topsoil Stockpile Locations
Trapper's approved permit (Section 4.9.2) specifies that CDRMS will be provided with map(s)
illustrating the location of topsoil stockpiles constructed during the previous year and the approximate
locations for stockpiles proposed for construction during the upcoming year (Map 1).
Table 5-1 lists all existing stockpiles with their identification nomenclature, coordinates (based on the
approximate center of the pile), acres, construction date and volume; which is updated annually.
During 2009, Trapper constructed three new stockpiles labeled F1 -09, Al -09, and Z1 -09. Additionally
three existing piles; G2 -03, G3-06 and G1 ROAD were totally depleted for topsoil replacement or
relocation. Topsoil piles G2 -06, K1 -08 and Z2 -07 had topsoil added to them during stripping activities
in K Pit and Horse Gulch.
At the end of 2009, excluding stockpiles abandoned with the approvals of MR -155 and TR -94, there are
69 existing topsoil stockpiles at Trapper affecting 188.3 acres and storing approximately 4,293,009
cubic yards of salvaged topsoil.
Presently there are no proposed approximate locations for topsoil stockpiles in 2010. Trapper is
planning to laydown the proposed stripping for the 2010 season. Additionally, existing piles may be
depleted from or added to in order to maintain a cost effective salvage or replacement program during
a particular year.
• R 3110
[D
[DRMS\09 S09TSteMSOJ
•
