As a result, overburden piles and topsoil piles will
be produced as identified in the approved mining plan.
As the north mining face is approaching the permitted boundary limit, the
majority of the anticipated reclamation for 2010 is expected to occur along
the east mining face, in a northeasterly manner. As finished slopes are
completed, it is anticipated some of the stockpiled topsoil will be utilized to
reshape the excavated face to a 4 (H):1(V) slope. Seeding will then take
place in the fall, to enhance success of germination. Required ongoing
inspection and maintenance of the implemented Best Management
Practices, in accordance with the approved Stormwater Management Plan,
will also occur in 2010-2011
DATES FOR BEGINNING AND CEASING OPERATIONS
Extraction operations will continue sporadically throughout 2010-2011.
Ceasing of operations is not anticipated in the immediate future. Extraction
of material from the Material Resource Area will be on an as-needed basis.
As such, no specific date for the commencement of mining activities is
established for the year.
