May 27, 2010
Response to Inspection Dated 04/20/2010
Western Slope Flagstone Quarry #2 ID # M-1996-076
4. The approved mine plan only allows for 5.2 acres of disturbance, therefore, a technical
revision must be submitted to account for the increased maximum disturbance from 5.2
acres to 22.5 acres.
CORRECTIVE ACTION: Submit a technical revision to account for the disturbance increase
that includes revised mine plan maps for both the north and middle mining locations and
include topsoil and overburden stockpile locations. The required technical revisions to the
mine plan must be submitted not later than May 24, 2010.
RESPONSE. Technical revision of the existing maps have been prepared showing the
increased area of disturbance and topsoil and overburden stockpile locations in both
the middle and north mine areas. Please note the proposed general location of a
portable crusher which will follow the excavation in the middle mine area (See maps).
BONDING: An increased bond to cover the updated reclamation costs has been
provided and sent to the Denver reclamation office.
Respectively submitted,
Rudolp Fontanari
