Reclamation Accomplished During 2009:
About 55 mixed Douglas fir and ponderosa pine were planted at Sites C and E on the Blue
Streak No. 2. Additionally, 5 dozen total mixed rose, wax currant, and chokecherry were
planted on Sites C and E as well. These two sites are considered reclaimed and awaiting
80% regrowth.
Sites I, J, and a portion of L on the Blue Streak No. 1, those portions filled and
recontoured, were reseeded.
Sites A and B on the Blue Streak No. 2 show excellent growth for grass, shrubs, and trees.
These two sites are considered reclaimed and exhibit 80% growth.
Additionally, all the berms and disturbances created by installing the access road on the
Blue Streak No. 2 were reseeded. There is good growth on most of these disturbances. The
final portion of this road will be removed and reclaimed approximately 2011.
Proposed 2010 Operations:
Operations will be in conjunction with operations on Glacier Peak Mining claims and
Crystaljack mining claims between mid May and extend through early August and be
conducted primarily using a John Deer 992 and/or 690 track hoe.
Site D on the Blue Streak No 2 will be opened, approximately 0.43 acre, mined, and
reclaimed. Approximately 0.35 acre will be opened on Site L and mined. A portion of this
site will likely remain open at the completion of the season.
Site visits, including mineral extraction, reclamation, and claim maintenance will be
continued throughout the season.
Anticipated 2010 Disturbances:
Approximately 0.78 acre total will be disturbed at Sites D and L.
Proposed 2010 Reclamation:
Where practical, any disturbances will be filled, recontoured, and reseeded. Approximately
0.5 acre will be reclaimed.
Approximately 60 mixed ponderosa pine and Douglas fir and 90 mixed wax currant,
chokecherry, and aspen will be planted on Sites I and J during May.
