Drainage and <br />sediment control systems are discussed in the "Ponds, Impoundments, and Diversions" section <br />following the "Roads" section. Discussions of other activities and facilities are presented in the <br />"Soil Material Handling ", "Overburden Handling and Blasting Operations ", "Coal Handling <br />Structures ", and "Coal Refuse and Non -Coal Processing Wastes" sections, which follow the <br />"Ponds, Impoundments, and Diversions" section. The portal surface facilities south end and <br />quantities are summarized in Table 2.05.3 -T3. <br />Standard maintenance procedures, such as preventive maintenance programs, painting, and <br />lubrication shall be utilized throughout the active life of all structures and facilities. All facilities <br />will be removed, and the associated disturbance areas reclaimed to approximate original contours, <br />and the approved postmining uses when no longer required to support ongoing or future mining and <br />related activities. <br />Covered Storage Buildings — Four covered storage buildings will be constructed for dry storage of <br />materials on pads south of the coal stockpile area. The buildings will be 100 x 30 x 20, 200 x 50 x <br />. 20 feet, 250 x 50 x 20 feet and 300 x 50 x 20. The structures will be steel -frame construction, with <br />steel siding, and a dirt floor covered with 1 -foot of road -base material. The steel buildings will sit <br />on two foot diam concrete pylons, five feet deep on 25 foot centers. The locations of these <br />structures are shown on Map 2.05.3 -M1A, Mine Facilities Map (South End). <br />Material and Equipment Storage Yards — Two or more material and equipment storage yards <br />will be located south of the portal area. Materials such as roofbolts, conveyor structure, timber, and <br />other consumable supplies needed for the underground operations will be stored in these areas. <br />Storage yards will cover an area of approximately 11.5 acres, and will be surfaced with road -base or <br />gravel. <br />PSCM Permit App. 2.05 -13 Revision 03/05/10 <br />
