III. COMMENTS- COMPLIANCE
Below are comments on the inspection. The comments include discussion of observations made during the
inspection. Comments also describe any enforcement actions taken during the inspection and the facts or
evidence supporting the enforcement action.
Support Facilities: The South Mine Fan(SMF) was accessed. The light use road to the fan had been
maintained and was traversed by vehicle. Disturbance area boundaries are marked with orange painted t-posts
along the access road and at the SMF location. There are some cables and old tire along the access road at this
site. Vegetation is patchy with vegetation on the east side of the pad in better condition that that along the
west side of the pad. No erosion was observed. No pooling of water was noted. A bare area was noted on the
west side of the pad, approximately 35 ft. X 15 ft. Only a patch of prickly pear cacti was growing in this bare
area. Energy Fuels needs to determine why this location remains bare, and establish permanent vegetative
cover. Cables and other mining related debris need to be removed as well.
Ay#
Southern extent of light-use road @ South Vent Fan site ........bare area at SW side of South Vent fan area
r
9are area on
west side of
swan vent fan
tev s."is rppF
South Vent Fan
Reclamation Success: Vegetation is well established. No erosional problems were noted. No cattle were on
the property nor was there any evidence that livestock had been on the site this spring.
4 of WHITE-File YELLOW-Operator PINK-Specialist
