Dear Mr. Theisen,
The Division of Reclamation Mining and Safety (Division) has identified several other
comments and questions that must be addressed prior to the Division's decision due date. Please
be advised that if you are unable to satisfactorily address any concerns identified in this
review before the decision date, it will be your responsibility to request an extension of the
review period. If there are outstanding issues that have not been adequately addressed
prior to the end of the review period, and no extension has been requested, the Division will
deny this application.
6.3.3 Exhibit C - Mining Plan
1. In accordance with Rule 6.3.3(1), please describe how storm water runoff will be managed. If
storm water runoff leaves the site, then the Applicant must describe how storm water will be
protected from pollution including sediment containment systems and storm water runoff
controls. In addition, if storm water is discharged from the mine site, then the Applicant must
apply for a storm water discharge permit from the Colorado Department of Public Health and
Environment.
6.3.4 Exhibit D - Reclamation Plan
2. The Applicant has provided the Division with a seed mix to be used during reclamation. In
addition to the seed mix, the Applicant must provide the following information:
i. Specify the point in the mining plan the site will be seeded.
ii. Explain how the seedbed will be prepared to eliminate compacted conditions (e.g.,
plowed, chiseled, disced)
iii. State the type application rate and soil incorporation methods of fertilizer application,
if any.
