I said that I would see if we could <br />have our Ranger check in on the mines from time to time when he is in the neighborhood. <br />Action Items <br />(many of the action items below are illustrated in the photographs which follow) <br />Housekeeping Issues (in addition to what is laid out in plan for temporary closures/idling of <br />mine) <br />• Remove all loose trash from site (pallets, wood debris, plastic bits, buckets, etc) and <br />dispose of properly <br />• Recommend removing any valuable pipe, and other equipment -to secured site <br />• Recommend recycling any scrap metal/junk equipment no longer needed for mining <br />• Fix punctured oil pan on compressor, and remove/dispose of oil. contaminated soil <br />Reclamation Issues <br />• Monitor 2009 vents and drill sites for vegetation success. Reseed in the fall if necessary. <br />Apply herbicides if weeds encroach <br />• Continue to monitor and treat weeds at 5 mine sites and access roads <br />• Establish test plots of reclamation vegetation to see what kind of re-vegetation <br />methods/amendments work best <br />Other Issues <br />• After sites have been idled, and all excess equipment and materials have been removed, <br />consider applying magnesium chloride solution to dump tops and roadways to control <br />dust <br />• Jamie Blair will discuss having the BLM Ranger check up on the sites when he is in the <br />neighborhood. <br />James Blair <br />DPLO Geologist <br />4/22/2010 <br />Page 2 of 12
