New wells to be drilled under this Modification 03
• Production Well T-1P
• Heater Well T-1H
Note: all wells will be on previously constructed drill pads - the TM wells and the Production
Well will be drilled on the TM Pad; the Heater Well will be drilled on the Test Pad.
Modified surface excavations, or other land disturbance proposed in support of AMSO's testing
program, are shown on Figures A.2 and A.3. These figures present the final surface disturbances
planned by AMSO for the Pilot Test. Surface processing facilities will be located on the Test Pad
as shown in Figure A.3.
After adjustments to the final grading plan, incorporating the changes to the Test Pad, and the
addition of the Hell-pad, the final surface disturbances by facility are as follow:
Facility Disturbance (acres)
Test Pad 5.2
Test Pad Access Roads 0.6
TM Pad 1.7
MWP 2 Pad 1.2
MWP 2 Road 0.5
HB Pad 1.2
HB Road 0.3
Heli-pad 0.6
Total 11.3 acres
Construction Details
Heli-pad
To increase our emergency response capabilities, AMSO would like to install a Hell-pad located
as shown on drawings A.2 and A.3. The Heli-pad would lie just off the TM Pad between the
access road to MWP 2 and BLM Road 1019 and would require about 0.6 acre disturbance. We
would not mechanically disturb the soil of the Hell-pad. We would cut the brush using a "Bush-
hog" type of rotary mower pulled/powered by a rubber-tired agricultural tractor. The larger
pieces of brush would be hand collected and scattered among the existing vegetation adjacent to
the Hell-pad.
We would plant our interim grass revegetation mix (same as our final reclamation mix without
shrubs or broadleaf plants). We will fence the area to exclude livestock, and we will mow and
treat with herbicide as necessary to limit weed production.
Proposed Access Roads
All access roads have been completed.
Proposed Drill Pads
All drill pads have been constructed.
