I contacted the N.R.C.S. on April 21, 2010 to
provide a new seed mixture for this pit. The original mixture only listed two species of
grass for the seeding in this pit. The county requested that more species be added to this
mixture and that a nurse crop be added. The N.R.C.S. will provide the new seed mixture
about April 27 or 28. This does not give the county enough time to submit the new
mixture before the deadline of April 28. The extension the county is requesting would
allow submittal by the Fifth of May 2010. Thank you for considering this extension.
Also submitted with this letter is the original Additional Information sheet for the Gaede
Pit Technical Revision detailing the calculations for topsoil quantity for this pit.
If you have any questions you can call me at the telephone number listed above.
Sincerely yours,
Kenneth Morrison
Land Use Administrator
Lincoln County
cc: File
Enclosures
-e-/?7j-' -os/
Ph. 719-743-2337
Fax 719-743-2815
