MANAGEMENT <br />On behalf of Bowie Resources, LLC, enclosed is an application for a permit revision to <br />transfer a portion of the permit boundary to the Bowie No. 2 mine. In addition, <br />appropriate portions of three federal coal leases C-37210, C-27432 and D-36955, will <br />now be incorporated into the Bowie No. 2 permit. <br />Right of Entry <br />The Bowie No. 1 Mine maintains it right of entry to applicable portions of federal coal <br />leases, C-37210, C-27432 & D-36955 <br />Permit and Affected Area <br />The affected area will decrease 564 acres. The permit boundary will decrease 3,339 <br />acres. Included in this permit boundary decrease are 2,379 acres that will be <br />transferred to the Bowie No.2 permit, and 960 acres that are a permit boundary <br />correction. The Operator has taken this opportunity to revise the BOW-1 permit <br />boundary. Previously, it was offset from the Federal Coal Lease Boundaries. It has <br />been corrected to now follow the Coal Lease Boundaries. Therefore, the decrease in <br />permit boundary includes the area transferred to the Bowie No. 2 permit as well as the <br />portion of the boundary that was revised to follow the Federal Coal Lease boundaries. <br />Cultural Resources <br />Not applicable, no surface disturbance <br />Soils <br />Not applicable, no surface disturbance.
