• Cotter Corporation PROCEDURE Number: 3-4 Schwartzwalder Mine Page: 6 of 7 Golden, Colorado WATER MONITORING Revision: 7 Date: 04/15/2010 MONITOR WELLS, DOMESTIC WELL AND SUMPS • Twelve monitor well locations, depending on ground water elevation, two sump locations and the Domestic Well. (Fourteen locations, once MW13 and MW14 are drilled.) • Up to eleven monitor well locations have a limited analytical suite each quarter. Two to three monitor well locations have an extended suite. The monitor well locations for which the extended suite is requested changes each quarter. • Samples from sump locations are analyzed for dissolved uranium only. Sample size is 125 ml. • Samples from the Domestic Well are analyzed for dissolved and suspended U and Ra226 quarterly. Minimum sample size is 3 liters and it is filtered and acidified. The filter is sent to the laboratory for analysis of suspended concentrations. • The limited analytical suite for Monitor Well samples consists of dissolved uranium only. Sample size is 125 ml and it is filtered and acidified. • The extended analytical suite for monitor wells calls for 29 parameters, listed below. Sample size is 1 gallon filtered and acidified, 1 liter raw and acidified, and 1 liter raw.
