6.4.3 EXHIBIT C - Pre-mining and Mining Plan Map(s) of Affected Lands
1.) This map must be signed by the registered land surveyor, professional engineer or
qualified person who prepared it.
2.) The note listed on the map states, "The orientation of the final 3:1 slope is a
maximum slope limit, and may vary depending on the life of the operation." Please
clarify, will any slopes be reclaimed steeper than a 3:1 horizontal to vertical ratio?
3.) Are the blue lines depicted on the map contour lines? If so, please label the various
elevations and indicate the contour interval.
4.) Exhibit G indicates a berm will be built on the north and east side of the permit area
to control run off from leaving the mine area. Please depict this berm on the map.
6.4.4 EXHIBIT D - Mining Plan
5.) The mining plan indicates an asphalt and concrete batch plant will be used within the
permit area to process the mined material. Please explain how the surface and ground
water system will be protected during processing of the mined material?
6.) Will the asphalt and concrete batch plant be portable/moveable? If not, please
indicate the dimensions of these structures, such as length, width and height. Will a
cement foundation be constructed for these units? If so, what will be their dimensions
(length, width and depth)?
7.) Exhibit L indicates a highwall will be created during the mining operation. What will
be the maximum length of the highwall at any given time during the operation and what
will be the slope?
8.) Exhibit G indicates a berm will be built on the north and east sides of the permit area
to control run off from leaving the mine area. Please indicate the dimensions of this
berm.
9.) Will topsoil and overburden be removed from the "Stock Pile Area" indicated on the
Exhibit C maps?
6.4.5 EXHIBIT E - Reclamation Plan
10.) Item 2f (iv) states there will be no re-vegetation. However, the designated post
mine land use is rangeland and item 2f(ii) states reseeding will be done per the seed mix
recommended by the NRCS. The Operator is obligated to establish diverse and self-
sustaining vegetation throughout the site prior to full site release. Please commit to re-
vegetating the site.
