on the Bid Schedule. This lump sum bid will cover all costs for drainage channel repair <br />as described in these specifications. <br />PROJECT OBSERVATION <br />The PROJECT MANAGER will be at the project site periodically to monitor construction <br />activities and ensure that each work item is completed and constructed to design <br />specifications. The PROJECT MANAGER will be available during regular business <br />hours (8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M.) on weekdays. Inspections will not be scheduled on <br />weekend days or holidays without prior approval of the PROJECT MANAGER. It is the <br />Contractor's responsibility to schedule inspections with the Project Manager so as not to <br />delay the work. The following items must be observed and approved by the PROJECT <br />MANAGER before proceeding with additional work: <br />1. Final trenching prior to placement of rock in Task 4. <br />2. Initial placement/location and installation of check dam. <br />3. Slope scarification prior to revegetation <br />4. All Equipment Rental Hours., <br />ADDITIONAL BID ITEMS <br />There are included on the Bid Schedule, several additional bid items. These bid items <br />are not guaranteed, and will be used only in the event that conditions change on site, <br />and only after approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. The additional bid items for this <br />project include: <br />1. Equipment Rental- Mini Excavator with operator, if required. <br />2. 10 Additional Check Dams, as specified under Task 3, if required. <br />3. Additional revegetation, fertilizer, mulch as specified under Task 6, if required. <br />The attached quotation form must be submitted. Award will be made to the lowest <br />bidder if the amount bid is within the Project budget estimate, and if the equipment and <br />personnel offered are deemed sufficient by the Division to accomplish the Project within <br />the specified time of completion. <br />As of 01/08/09 <br />
