P N B Scf�� u 14a' Measurement and Payment ` s� �('' o GI`fees°W Measurement and payment for this Task will be as per Revegetation Specification 20.0 of the ,0- General Bid Specifications, 2006. The price bid shall include all costs for labor, materials, <J equipment and all other items necessary for revegetation as described in these specifications. Payment for this task will be made only for the unit price shown under Item 6 of the Bid Schedule. Payment shall be as this task is completed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. PROJECT OBSERVATION The PROJECT MANAGER will be at the project site periodically to monitor construction activities and ensure that each work item is completed and constructed to design specifications. The PROJECT MANAGER will be available during regular business hours(43:00 A.M.to 5:00 P.M.)on weekdays. Inspections will not be scheduled on weekend days or holidays without prior approval of the PROJECT MANAGER. It is the Contractor's responsibility to schedule inspections with the Project Manager so as not to delay the work. The following items must be observed and approved by the PROJECT MANAGER before proceeding with additional work: Portal Repair-The extent of the exposure of the portal hole prior to backfill,compaction and rock placement. Polyurethane foam installation, if required. All Equipment Rental Hours. ADDITIONAL BID ITEMS There are included on the Bid Schedule, several additional bid items. These bid items are not guaranteed, and will be used only in the event that conditions change on site, and only after approved by the PROJECT MANAGER. The additional bid items for this project include: 1. Equipment Rental-Excavator,CAT 320BL or equivalent sized w/minimum 20'reach,turbo charged apoperator. 2. Provide and install 30 cubic yards of riprap from on site source, per specs, if required. 3. Provide and install 10 cubic yards of polyurethane foam, per specs, if required. - 11 -
