General Review:
Submitted documentation on February 16, 2010 makes reference to a 110(2) approved permit
for the Last Chance Mine. This is incorrect. .... All accepted public notices have referred to
the current 112d permit application under review.
Nuvemco acknowledges (and corrects the misstatement) that the application M -2008 -012 was a
110(2) application, and not an approved permit, and was amended to a 112d application.
Changes to the Introduction are as follows:
(paragraph 1- edited Introduction section is attached)
Nuvemco, LLC (Nuvemco) is the owner and operator of the Last Chance Mine which is
operating under the Colorado Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety (DRMS) Notice of
Intent (NOI) to Conduct Prospecting Operations for Hard Rock/Metal Mines No. P- 2007 -018.
The mine is currently in standby and maintenance status pending economic uranium milling
availability. Nuvemco is in the process of amending the filed 110(2) Application (File No. M-
2008 -012) Permit to a Designated Mining 112d(1) Operation with this Reclamation Permit
Application Package. The Last Chance Mine has operated intermittently since 1977. Previous
operators included Umetco, Excel Mining, and lastly LSC Mining and Horsefly Farms, from
whom Nuvemco acquired the property in March 2007.
(paragraph 6)
When acquired by Nuvemco, the site had been reclaimed and released. Nuvemco proceeded to
reopen the Last Chance Mine under the previously described NOI. Current operations are on a
total site area of 4.90 acres with facilities including a gated portal, waste rock dump, and ore pile
with berms. Additionally, access roads, an office, power...
Exhibit Review:
6.4.4 — Exhibit D, Mining Plan
General Notes.
Please clarify that the ore load out area is included in the ore storage area. The load out area
must be included in any radiometric surveys and reclamation must bring the area back to the
same baseline as noted for the ore storage pad.
Following is a revision of "Exhibit D, 2. Underground Mining" which addresses in narrative the
comments of DRMS for this section. This section is included here in full for context and
completeness. Many of the responses to individual DRMS line item comments are contained
here, and by reference or partial sentence later in these responses. To specify deletions and
insertions and the changes in this document, an MS Word file is attached with "track changes"
active for reference.
The anticipated depth of the mine is about 140 to 160 feet below ground surface, and tunnels
may extend 1,200 feet from the existing workings as sketched on Map C -lb.
