Pond F was frozen and snow covered and not discharging. Pond G remained snow covered and was not
discharging. The trash rack at the Pond G riser appears askew and may need resetting. The Million gallon
tank at the PM Bay was not overflowing. Pond C was not discharging.
The upper 18LT pond was holding a pool of water well below the discharge elevation.
Pond B was frozen and not discharging. Haul road runoff that runs into the Pond B pad area has been
cleaned up and the culvert thawed out to allow runoff to flow into the sump. This area will need to be
graded once conditions dry.
Visual markers requested by the Division at the Train Loadout have been placed. TCC has placed "stream
buffer zone" signs at the edge of the disturbed area. These are easily visible and should keep snow removal
crew from encroaching on the stream buffer zone. Inspection of the train load out area found the signs have
been effective and there has been no encroachment into the buffer zone.
Processing Waste: TCC continues to haul refuse to the existing CRDA. TCC is allowing refuse to drain at
the southern end of the Existing RDA. TCC has not begun constructing the underdrain. Rock material for
the underdrain construction has been delivered and is stored on site. TCC plans to alter the flow path of the
underdrain slightly so drainage from the underdrain will flow into Pit 1 prior to flowing to Pond D. TCC
will submit a Technical Revision to the Division for this change in design. Runoff from the CRDA and
RDA expansion reports to ditch D-1-D before reporting to Pond D.
Support Facilities: The hydraulic oil contaminated material at 6MN facilities area and at 18RT has been
loaded into roll away dumpsters and the dumpsters have been removed off-site to the Milner landfill.
TCC has completed drilling the 6RT underflow borehole near the junction of RCR27 and RCR33. Burying
of the thickener underflow line has not progressed under the rail road or Foidel creek
Wildlife: A coyote was observed on the Refuse Disposal Area. TCC personnel reported that a pair of have
been observed hanging around the refuse disposal area. Ground squirrels have emerged
Subsidence: Subsidence monitoring will be initiated when the longwall gets to 400 ft. of the County road.
TCC personnel reported that they have the traffic control signs, but have not yet installed them.
5 of 6 WHITE-File YELLOW -Operator PINK- Specialist
