By reviewing the above data, no idealized or generalized columnar section of the <br />Collom can be thus prepared above what has already been presented in the generalized <br />Colowyo Stratigraphic column. <br />7. Pursuant to Rule 2.04.6(2)(b)(i)(B), please provide the logs of drill holes and test <br />borings showing the lithologic characteristics and thickness of each stratum and each <br />coal seam within the Collom project area. This information should be provided down <br />to and including either the stratum immediately below the lowest coal seam to be <br />mined or any aquifer below the lowest coal seam to be mined which may be affected <br />by mining, whichever is deeper. <br />Colowyo Response: <br />This information is now included as Exhibit 6Item I& <br />8. Overburden chemical analysis was provided in Exhibit 6, Item 9. However, there <br />were no site-specific coal analyses provided. On page 24, Colowyo states, "The <br />analyses of the coal seams to be mined are considered confidential and are provided <br />in the original permit application and will be provided to the Colorado Division of <br />reclamation, Mining and Safety under separate cover." Pursuant to Rule <br />2.04.6(2)(b)(i)(E), please provide analyses of the coal seams to be mined in Collom, <br />including but not limited to an analysis of the sulfur, pyrite, and marcasite content <br />from the proposed Collom area. <br />• Colowyo Response: <br />The information has been submitted under separate cover with this package. <br />Rule 2.04.7 - Hydrology Description <br />9. Baseline groundwater monitoring was last conducted in 2004 to 2006. Pursuant to <br />Rule 2.04.7(1)(iii), Colowyo will be required to reinitiate groundwater monitoring <br />one year prior to commencing the mining operations associated with the Collom <br />proj ect. <br />Colowyo Response: <br />Dually noted. <br />Rule 2.05.3 - Operations Plan <br />10. Colowyo states that the development of Collom will require the construction of new <br />facilities as shown on Map 22B, but no details are provided. Rules 2.05.3(3) - Mine <br />Facilities and Rule 4.04, Support Facilities, require a description of the mine support <br />facilities that will be constructed in the Collom area. The description should include <br />all of the buildings that are shown on Map 22B - Structures and Facilities and other <br />support facilities listed in Rules 2.05.3 and 4.04. Pursuant to Rule 2.05.3(3)(a), the <br />information needs to include "a description, plans and drawings describing the <br />location, construction, modification, use, maintenance and removal of mine support <br />Colowyo Mine C-1981-019 page 4 of 16 25 March 2010 <br />Permit Revision 03 - Collom Permit Expansion
