EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN
EAST BRADBURY PIT
The sides of the pit will be sloped at 3 horizontal to 1 vertical from the existing ground
level to the pit floor. The floor of the pit will slope from east to west at approximately
one percent to the southwest corner where mining was terminated under the existing
permit. See Exhibit F.
Overburden will be used to backfill slopes around the perimeter of the pit. The salvaged
topsoil will be distributed over the side slopes and the pit floor to a depth of 6 to 8 inches.
The disturbed areas will be seeded using the seed recommendations of the NRCS. See
attached seed recommendation. The seed will be drilled and mulched. Seeding will be
done in the fall to take advantage of winter moisture.
The above described reclamation will be completed as the mining progresses with
seeding being done in the fall. The estimated time to complete final reclamation is 2 to 3
years after mining has been completed and all processed material has been removed from
the site. This amount of time will be required to establish the vegetation which is
dependent on the amount of moisture received in any given year.
The post mining land use will be grazing which is compatible with surrounding land use
