<br />Methane Drainage Facility at Elk Creek Fan Bench
<br />Dear Ms. Williams:
<br />The Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with Title 34, Article 33, Section 116,
<br />Paragraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statutes, that on March 29, 2010, an application to revise coal mining operations at the
<br />Elk Creek Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by Oxbow Minin , LLC. All
<br />review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this slate of filing.
<br />With this technical revision, Oxbow I iMM , LLC proposes to expand the upper Elk Creep Mine Fan bench by approximately
<br />0.1 acres to facilitate completion of a 210' deep, 18" steel cased methane drainage borehole and construction of a twin electric
<br />driven methane exhauster system. The operator has requested no new disturbed acreage with this revision application.
<br />The underground coal mining operation is on land located gust north of Somerset, Colorado. The Permit area is further
<br />described as follows;
<br />Township 12 South, Range 90 west, 6th Pit -- all or parts of Sections 2 — 32
<br />Township 12 South, Range 91 west, 6th PIS - all or parts of Sections 2 - 27 and 34 — 36
<br />Township 13 South, Range 89 West, 6th PM - all or parts of Sections 6 and 7
<br />Township 13 South, Range 90 west, 6th Fit - all or parts of Sections I - 12 and 17
<br />Township 13 South, Range 9 1 west, 6th PM - all or parts of Sections 1 -- 3 and 11 - 13
<br />The above-mentioned tracts of land are shown on USGS 7. minute Quadrangle map of Somerset and Bogie.
<br />The applicant is required to publish, notice in a local newspaper that this application has been deemed complete. At the time of
<br />publication of this notice, the applicant is additionally required to place a copy of this application at the Delta County Clerk
<br />Recorder, 5 01 Pahtaer Street, Room, 211, Delta,, CO 81416, Gunnison County Clem & Recorder, 221 N. Wisconsin, Gunnison,
<br />CO 81230, Faonla Public Library, Third Street, Paonia, CO 81428, acrd at the Division off For additional information or
