Martin <br />501 Palmer <br />Executive Director <br />Delta, CO 81416 <br />R e: Elk Creek Alin (Permit No. C -1981 -022) <br />Technical Revision Application Nn. 6 'T' <br />Methane Drainage Facility at Elk Creek Fan Bench <br />Dear Ms. Eddins: <br />The Division of Reclamation,, Mi ng and Safety hereby issues notice, in accordance with 'Title 34, Article 33, Section 116, <br />Paragraph 4, of the Colorado Revised Statues, that on March 29, 2 1 , an application to revise coal m ining operations at the <br />Elk Creek Mine was considered complete for the purposes of filing. The revision was submitted by Oxbow Mh ing, LL C. All <br />review and comment periods as provided in the Act and the Regulations initiate from this date of filing. <br />With this technical revision, Oxbow Miring, LLC proposes to expand the upper Elk Creels Mine Fan bench by approximately <br />0 .1 acres to facilitate completion of a 210" sleep, 18" steel eased methane drainage borehole and construction of a twin electric <br />dri' en methane exhauster system. The operator has requested no new disturbed acreage with this revision application. <br />The underground coal n11111�"i operation, is on land located gust north of Somerset, Colorado. The permit area is further <br />described as follows: <br />Township 12 South, Range 90 west, 6th PM - all or parts of Sections 2 — 32 <br />Township 12 South, Range 91 West, 6th PIS -- all or parts of Sections 25 -- 27 and 34 — 3 6 <br />Township 13 South, Range 89 west, 6th PIS - all or parts o f Sections 6 and 7 <br />Township 13 South, Range 90 west, 6th PM - all or parts of Sections 1 -12 and 17 <br />Township 13 South, Range 91 west, 6th PM - all or parts o Sections 1 - 3 and 11 - 1 <br />The above - mentioned tracts of land are shown on US GS 7 .5 minute Quadrangle reap of Somerset and Bowie. <br />The applicant is required to publish notice in a local newspaper that this application has been deemed complete. At the tune of <br />publication of this notice, the applicant is additionally required to place a copy of this application at the Delta County Clerk <br />Recorder, 501 Palmer Street, Room 211, Delta, CO 81416, unlr�son County Clerk & Recorder, 221 N. Wisconsin, Gunnison, <br />CO 81230, Paonia Public Library, 2 Third Street, Paonia, CO 81428, and at the Division office.
