Page 4
pond), and 34-3 are within the revised zone of subsidence [see page 2.05-101 (02/06) and Map 9
(02/28/06)]. Other structures and renewable resource lands descriptions are also described,
including Hubbard and Terror Creeks and the Bruce Park Dam. Dove Creek is listed, but not the
prehistoric campsite. The campsite is listed on page 6 of the Class III Cultural Resource
Inventory and Paleontological Assessment Report for 1360 Acre of Forest Service Administered
Lands Within the Iron Point Coal Lease Tract (COC-61209) in Volume VI of the PAP.
Rule 2.05.6(6)(a)(ii)(B) An appropriate map, prepared according to Section 2. 10, showing the
location and configuration of structures and renewable resource lands within the permit and
adjacent area.
Maps 9, 10, 11 and 23 are referenced (PAP page 2.05-103). I recommend those portions of the
Hubbard Creek Road that are of concern of the coal lease, the Hughes log cabins, and
those sections of the Terror Creek road within the permit boundary and up to the north of
B-Seam 1 East Mains be indicated on Map 27. The campsite is not to be disclosed on public
documents. The SHPO has advised that this site is within a limited extraction zone.
Rule 2.05.6(6)(b) If structures and renewable resource lands are determined to exist within the
proposed permit and adjacent area, the application shall include a description of the worst
possible consequences which subsidence, if it occurred, could have for such structures and
renewable resource lands.
See the following entries.
Rule 2.05.6(6)(b)(i) The application shall include a determination of whether subsidence, if it
occurred, could cause material damage or diminution of reasonably foreseeable use of such
structures and renewable resource lands. This description of worst possible subsidence
consequences shall include:
See the following entries.
Rule 2.05.6(6)(b)(i)(A) brief description of pre- and postmining land uses of the permit and
adjacent area, as described pursuant to Sections 2.04.3 and 2.05.5;
The pre- and post-mining land uses are described as rangeland, wildlife habitat and industrial
(PAP page 2.05-104).
Rule 2.05.6(6)(b)(i)(B) A brief description of subsidence related phenomena predicted to occur
within the permit and adjacent area; and
Presented in Volume IIIA, Exhibits 15, 16 and 17.
