Permittee Name: Lakewood Brick and Tile Co. Page 2
Permit No: M-79-045
Operation Name: Church Pit
Anniversary Date: 02/28/2010
continue in the Clay Plant Site Area in Stage 0 (purple). Stripping will continue over the clay
deposit to expose additional clay in the area north of the ditches. The stockpiled clay on the
east side of Stage II is being removed on a regular basis (tan). It is blended with the clay from
this mine at our brick plant in Lakewood.
Gravel - Stage A will continue to be used as the processing and stockpile area this year.
Processing will be done in the area east of the old Clay pit (orange). As the perimeter of the
mine is reached, sloping will begin as approved in the reclamation plan. Mining will continue
to removed material between the Church Pit and the Rocky Flats Pit as approved in the
permit. No sloping will be required as long the permit boundaries on the east side of this
mine. Growth medium will be stockpiled along the mine perimeter for use in reclamation.
(4) No reclamation is called for during the next year. However, backfilling may resume in the old
clay pit area. The waste material from gravel processing will be used to construct the south
mine slope from the original ground level to the pit floor. We will continue to fill the north
slope of the old clay pit and begin to do sloping on the east side of Stage A if the gravel
operator removes the overburden pile next to the face on that side. If the opportunity to sell
rock from the pre-law overburden piles occur, that removal will continue as well.
(5) CURRENT CONTACT Gravel contact information
Lakewood Brick & Tile CO Bestway Concrete
Thomas J.
