As requested by BRL, this reclamation cost estimate also includes a credit for gob vent borehole GVB-
6F, which was not drilled. This credit amounted to approximately $12,000. The credit is based on the
estimated cost from Minor Revision No. 78.
Please inform the Division in writing whether or not this cost estimate is acceptable to BRL.
Section 4.05.3. Diversions and Conveyance of Overland Flow
On proposed Map 36b of TR-52, the pad contours are parallel to the topographic contours so no such
collection ditch would be needed for the cut slope disturbance. However, a contingency plan should
be in place in the event that a collection ditch would be required. Please revise Map 36b to reference
a designed collection ditch as a contingency plan.
The Division has no further concerns. The March 3, 2008 submittal contained an updated Map
36b which contained a collection ditch designation, if one should be needed in the field. Permit
application page Exh-8-29i was also revised to include this ditch design.
4. A note appears on proposed Map 36b that describes the construction ofa berm around the drill pad
topsoil stockpile. However, no berm appears in the drawing, as was done on approved Map 36a.
Please include a berm around the topsoil stockpile in the drawing on proposed Map 36b.
The Division has no further concerns. A revised Map 36b was provided in the March 3, 2008
submittal that shows the berm designation around the topsoil stockpile.
Public and Other Agency Comments
Attached is a comment letter that the Division received from the Colorado Division of Water
Resources concerning TR-52. That agency has no concerns with the proposed activities. If'and when
any additional comment letters are received, they will be forwarded to BRL.
No response was necessary.
If you have any questions, please call me.
Sincerely,
Hosephudash
Environmental Protection Specialist
Attachment
cc: Jim Stover P.E.
