STORMWATER MANAGEM- T PLAN <br />Maryland Creek Ranch <br />1. SITE DESCRIPTION <br />2/20/09 <br />This site is the location of an aggregate extraction operation with all associated facilities. State Highway <br />#9 is located on the east side of the property. An active cattle ranch is located between the pit area and <br />the processing area. Unprocessed sand and gravel is transported from the pit to the processing area via <br />conveyor belt. The processing area includes crushing, screening and washing plants, ready mix dry <br />batch concrete plant, hot mix asphalt plant, shop, and office. Drainage at the site is generally from west <br />to east. There are several existing drainage ways (Vendette Creek, Maryland Creek and Old Whetstone <br />Creek) that cross the property from the west to east before passing under the highway to drain into the <br />Blue River. There are also several existing stock ponds, irrigation ditches, and two settling ponds within <br />the property.
