the Dissolution Surface. If the well is to be plugged and abandoned, it will be
cemented to surface. If the hole is to be completed as monitor well (hydrologic
and subsidence) a steel intermediate casing will be cemented to surface using
displacement. Grout adequacy will be verified with a cement bond log. All. well
(P&A and monitor) construction will conform to the 2 CCR 402-2 (CO State
Office of the Engineer's well construction rules) to eliminate communication
between aquifers. No USDW aquifers will be adversely affected by this program.
4: The expected time frame for drilling, coring, and P&A/completion for each
well is ten to fourteen days, with a total project completion time of approximately
three months. This is somewhat dependent on what type of rig (conventional or
wireline) is used to drill and core each hole. NSI's priority for this program is
core recovery and quality.
If further clarification is needed, please contact me, Jerry Daub at (970) 254-1224, or
(970) 216-1010.
Sincerely,
/eraIdZ, PG, CPG
President, Daub & Associates, Inc.
Cc: Bob Warneke, Natural Soda, Inc.; Executive Director of Manufacturing
Paul Daggett, BLM; White River Field Office
SPECIALIZING IN PROFESSIONAL GEOLOGICAL, ENVIRONMENTAL, HYDROLOGICAL, GEOTECHNICAL AND PERMITTING SERVICES
Page 2 of 3
