The attached technical revision package contains information on proposed pad layouts,
hole locations and depths. Anticipated drilling activity and monitoring well completion
operations are outlined in the attached diagram. All materials, construction methods
and completed wells shall conform to Colorado Water Well Construction rules (2CCR
402-2), Rule 5.4 of the Hard Rock/Metal Mining Rules and Regulations, and any
additional Bureau of Land Management, county and local ordinances. Financial
warranty will be provided (as required) to reclaim the drill pads and proposed access
roads and plug and abandon the four core holes. Each drill pad disturbance is expected
to be less than 0.7 acres (not including access roads). NSI plans on drilling only four of
the proposed seven locations, therefore bonding for four drill holes and pads should
suffice.. Well construction reports will be submitted within 60 days of completion, as
required by Office of State Engineer, copies will be forwarded to the to the Division of
Reclamation, Mining and Safety. As required by Section 34-32-113(1) and 43-32-27(2),
a $175.00 filing fee is provided for the technical revision application. NSI's right of
access to the acreage proposed in this technical revision is provided through NSI's
Lease #C-0118326 from the BLM, which comprises 8222.6 acres.
Please find attached:
• Check for filing fee.
• Table 1 - 2010-26-198 Corehole Appraisal Program: hole locations, downhole
information and disturbed acreage estimates
Drilling & Well Completion Prognosis, Typical Pad Layout Diagram
• Overall site information - Vicinity Map, General Area Map, Topographic Detail
Location Map (with proposed access roads indicated), Aerial Detail Location Map
(with proposed access roads indicated)
• Pad specific information (7 pads) - Survey, Pad Layout/Grading Plan, Pad Cross-
Sections, Surface Disturbance Area, Pad Location Photographs
If you have questions or require additional information, please contact me at (970) 878-
3674 x 14, or Jerry Daub at (970) 254-1224 or (970) 216-1010 (c).
Thank you in advance for your review and consideration of this request.
Sincerely
Bob Warneke
Executive Director of Manufacturing
Natural Soda, Inc - 3200 RBC Road 31 • Rifle, Colorado 81650 - Ph: 970.878.3674 • Fax: 970.878.5866 - www.naturalsoda.com
