<br /> <br /> <br /> <br />3. Topsoil and vegetation (including sagebrush) shall be stripped together and stockpiled in the <br />topsoil storage area. No topsoil stripping will be allowed when soils are moisture saturated to <br />a depth of 3 inches. <br />4. When topsoil is frozen the surface must be ripped or disked to a depth of one to six inches to <br />aid in thawing the topsoil layer and separating the topsoil layer from the subsoil layer. If BLM <br />staff is not on site to document topsoil separation and segregation, photo documentation will <br />be submitted to BLM. <br />5. If cultural resources are discovered during operations, the lessee shall immediately notify the <br />BLM. The lessee shall not disturb such discoveries. Within five (5) working days, the BLM <br />will initiate the evaluation process for any cultural resources discovered and will determine if <br />any action may be required to protect or preserve these discoveries. Cost of <br />recovery/mitigation of these resources shall be borne by the lessee.
