RE: Technical Revision Request for Fort Lupton Sand & Gravel, M-1999-120
Technical Revision Request for Lupton Meadows Reservoir, M-2002-104
(2) Internal access road(s) and portable conveyor system between the sites
In order to process material from the Lupton Meadows site over at the Fort Lupton site, we will
have internal access between the sites. The material from the Lupton Meadows site will either
be transported over to the Fort Lupton site by haul truck or by a portable conveyor system. The
proposed internal access roads and portable conveyor system (which will follow the roads) will
move with the progression of mining operations at the two sites. The initial location of internal
access road(s) are shown on the attached Vicinity Map which shows both sites.
We request approval for internal access between the sites which will consist of internal road(s),
and possibly a portable conveyor system.
(3) Additional minor operating changes will affect the processing plants mine offices and scales,
and external accesses.
The processing plants are discussed in part (1).
The main mine office and scale for both sites will be on the Fort Lupton site. All visitors should
check in at the Fort Lupton site. The office on the Fort Lupton site will remain as is. The scale
on the Fort Lupton site will remain as is. The scale and office at the Lupton Meadows site may
remain to accommodate over-the-road trucks using the south (Lupton Meadows) access, but
will be secondary to the Fort Lupton office and scale.
The external accesses to both sites will remain as they are. To promote the most cost-effective
route for our customers, material may be sold from either site, and after their initial visit, trucks
may enter and exit either site to load out materials, depending on the proximity to the final sales
location.
If you have any questions or need anything else to process these two Technical Revisions,
please contact me at 303-286-2247 or Imshults@lgeverist.com.
Sincerely,
Jti"
Lynn Mayer Shults
Regulatory Manager
attached:
Check to cover filing fee for two Technical Revisions - $432.00
Vicinity Map - showing both Fort Lupton and Lupton Meadows
cc: Dennis Fields
Richard Schneider
Jim Sittner
Matt Noteboom
FL-DRMS-TR-ConnectToLMR-011510 - via Hand Delivery
