Everist, Inc., respectfully requests a Technical Revision to the Fort Lupton Sand and
Gravel Mine, DRMS Permit M-1999-120 and a Technical Revision to the Lupton Meadows
Reservoir, DRMS Permit M-2002-104. We have included a check for $432.00 (2 x $216.00) to
cover the technical revision fees.
In September, 2009, L.G. Everist succeeded as operator for the Lupton Meadows site (formerly
known as the RJ Campbell Pit #1). The sites are adjacent to each other - the connection is the
northern boundary of Lupton Meadows and the southern boundary of Fort Lupton.
We are requesting the two Technical Revisions together to incorporate changes affecting both
sites. These changes include:
(1) importing material into the Fort Lupton site from the Lupton Meadows site and
(2) internal access road(s) and portable conveyor system between the sites
(3) additional minor operating changes will affect the processing plants, mine offices and
scales, and external accesses.
(1) Importing material into the Fort Lupton site from the Lupton Meadows site
in order to be cost-effective, we plan to generally operate only one stationary processing plant
for the two sites. The plant located on the Fort Lupton site will remain where it is, and the
stationary plant on the Lupton Meadows site will most likely be removed within a year. Material
from the Lupton Meadows site will be "imported" to the Fort Lupton site to be processed.
However, some material processing will still occur on the Lupton Meadows site using portable
equipment, which will be located wherever it is needed as mining progresses. Therefore, we
are not changing the Lupton Meadows mine plan map, nor are we removing the "plant site,"
because we may still use the plant site area for processing and storing material.
We request approval from the Division to make a minor change to our Fort Lupton mine plan to
allow us to "import" and process material from the Lupton Meadows site.
FL-DRMS-TR-ConnectTol-MR-011510 - via Hand Delivery
