ame&
E.-rSS *?nvircnrrrsiAa
approximately 300 to 375 feet left of centerline using three track mounted drill rigs.
Blasting was performed in these areas Thursday (12/17/2009) and Friday (12/18/2009).
G) Material Processing
1) South Cresson Clay Processing Area
Processing of Soil Liner Fill material continued at the South Cresson Clay Process. A CAT D-8
dozer, a CAT 320 excavator, and a CAT 966 front-end loader were used to process the material.
Location This Week
(tons) Cumulative
(tons) Comments
So Cresson Clay Processing 5,159 150,273
Squaw Gulch Processing 0 35,816 Processing in area complete.
Total 5,159 182,181
Soil liner fill processing totals not received from Ames for week ending 12/19/2009.
H) ADR and Crusher Waterlines
Hydrostatic testing of the 10" HDPE ADR waterline (station A24+00 (+/-) to the new ADR water
tank) was performed. The line was pressurized to 180 psi (1.5 x operating pressure) and held the
pressure for one hour. This meets the CEntry project specification. The testing was performed
under the observation of an AMEC field representative.
Construction of the ADR tank overflow line was finished. Trench excavation was performed using
a CAT 330 excavator. Pipe bedding placement was also performed as the trench excavation
progressed. This was performed using a CAT 966 front-end loader and a CAT 330 excavator.
Approximately 180 linear feet of trench was excavated and bedded. Approximately 180 linear feet
of 18-inch CPe was installed using a CAT 966 front-end loader for pipe delivery. The pipe was
coupled and backfilled using pipe bedding material. Pipe bedding material was compacted using a
CAT 330 excavator bucket. Approximately 180 linear feet of trench was backfilled.
Preparations for ADR waterline tie-ins were performed throughout the week.
I) Miscellaneous
No work performed during the week.
III) Underground Workings
A) Drilling
Confirmation drilling was finished at Underground workings #3006 and #3007. Twenty-two holes
were drilled on the northwest side of the workings, defining the limits of the loose material
previously encountered. A total of 1100 feet was drilled, encountering no voids. The drill holes
were surveyed by Ames' survey. The survey information will be sent to John Lupo and a
remediation plan will be submitted.
Confirmation drilling was finished at Underground working #3009. Five holes were drilled around
the center of the working and no voids were encountered. A total of 250 feet was drilled,
encountering no voids. The drill holes were surveyed by Ames' survey. The survey information
will be sent to John Lupo and a remediation plan will be submitted.
VLF Weekly Report WE 12.19.09.D.doc
