Hwy.40 <br />Craig,Co.81625 <br />970-824-2709 <br />February 4, 2008 <br />Mr. Nathan Green <br />USACE <br />402 Rood Avenue; Room 142 <br />Grand Junction, Colorado 81501-2563 <br />RE: Courtesy Notification - Request for Comments for Construction Materials <br />Limited (110) Operation Reclamation Permit Application for Wagner Pit. <br />Proposed Wagner Pit Project - Special Use Permit and DRM&S 110 Permit <br />Application for Wagner Rock, LLC - an 8.20 acre site located in the S/2, NE/4 <br />of Section 6, T6N, R90W. <br />Dear Mr. Green: <br />Wagner Rock, .LLC is applying for a DMR&S Limited Impact 110 Permit and a <br />Moffat County Special Use Permit for an 8.20 acre site. A site location map is enclosed. <br />The Applicant will be applying for a Moffat County Special Use Permit through the <br />County Planning Office permit process. The applicant/landowner wish to notify the <br />COE as to the nature of the project and request that the COE provide comments, if <br />deemed necessary-, as to any special concerns you may have. The operation is well <br />separated from the Yampa River and will contain all stormwaters to the excavated area. <br />All stormwater will be contained under the site SWMP and general Stormwater Permit. <br />Ditching, silt fencing, berms, bales and other site storm-water BMP's will be used as part <br />of site storm-water controls. <br />Future mining activities will move from the west to east with general concurrent <br />reclamation. Limited Screening, crushing, and possible asphalt production and material <br />stockpiling operations may be temporally located at the site from time to time. Mine <br />activity at the site may take from 5 to 15 years to complete. There are currently other <br />active pit operations adjacent to the site.
