fence. Sediment and storm-water controls (silt fencing, bales, ditches and berms and <br />other BMP's as per the SWMP for the site) will prevent any adverse impact from storm- <br />waters. Any topsoil stockpiles remaining for longer than one year will be seeded with the <br />recommended seed mix. The U.S.Army Corps of Engineers has been notified for <br />comments due to the proximity of the Yampa River to the south. A copy of the notice <br />letter to the USACE, Grand Junction Office is located in Exhibit F. <br />(d) Wildlife information: <br />A Notification Letter was sent to N.W. Regional Manager for The Colorado <br />Division of Wildlife, Grand Junction, Colorado Office requesting comments. A <br />copy of the letter is attached to Exhibit F. At this time the D.O.W. has not <br />provided any response or comments to the applicant. The current site use for <br />general agriculture (as a "hay field") restricts various species of wildlife. <br />Since the proposed permit area is located on private property, hunting activities <br />and public access would be restricted. The small pond and variegated grass seed <br />mix proposed for reclamation at the site (and being within the adjacent Yampa <br />River corridor) will provide additional habitat for waterfowl, other avian and <br />small mammal species.
