EXHIBIT A - Legal Description and Location Map <br />(1) The affected area consists of an 8.2 acre tract that has for the last 50 years, <br />produced hay and is an agricultural property. There are no trees, man-made <br />structures, utilities, irrigation ditches, public roads, bridges, wells or pipelines, only a <br />legal fence surrounding the perimeter. The proposed site lies in the S/2 of the NE/4 <br />of Section 6, T6N R90W, 6th Colorado P.M. in Moffat County, Colorado, <br />approximately 1/2 mile southeast of the City of Craig, Colorado. As shown on <br />the maps, the site is located south of U.S. Highway 40 and North of the Yampa <br />River. There are currently several adjacent gravel pit operations (active and <br />former) along this portion of the Yampa River. <br />The site is an 8.20 acre parcel AKA - Parcel II more specifically described as <br />follows: <br />Beginning at a point located on the south side of the Railroad R.O.W. and west of <br />the private road: <br />Go S. 0 W., 596 feet, <br />Thence N. 88 W., 1204 feet, <br />Thence N. 64 E., 1337 feet, <br />Back to the point of beginning; an area of approximately 8.20 acres. <br />The area in and around the proposed area of operations is flat with an average <br />elevation of approximately 6182 feet AMSL. <br />(2) In addition to the Location - Topographic Map (U.S.G.S.
