AM-04 for 120 Estate Partners File M-2001-085
Rule
6.4.1 (A) Legal ParcelI S1/2, SW1A Sec. 35, T1 S, R67W Adams County Colorado.
(Map attached) The site is an active mine.
6.4.2 Site description: This site is located North of 120' ave. and West of the Fulton Ditch.
The site is an operating gravel pit that is more than 80% mined. The surface area originally
was 44 acres, an access road and set backs have reduced it to about 38 acres.
6.4.3 (C) Maps attached.
6.4.4 Mining plan. This site has a slurry wall installed as per the original permit. The wall
did not reduce the infiltration sufficiently, to meet the State Water rules for water storage.
Due to the fact that the leaks in the wall could not be isolated, the owners plan to place a
clay liner over the entire site.
W t c an&4he slope of the wall4mrr : 1 t This change is reflected in the
Ground Engineering report.
6.4.5 Reclamation Plan. (E) The top of the wall will +/- 5037 ft. there will be a l Oft. Perimeter
road. All areas above an elevation of 5034 ft will be plated with top soil and seeded.
SOURCE OF MATERIAL.. The material is the clay stone that is found in sufficient amounts on
the floor of the pit.
ENGINEERING DESIGN. See the attached Ground report.
INSTALLATION PLAN. The plan for the installation is to:
1. Remove the clay stone from the floor, this material will be reduced in size to allow
compaction of the material when placed on the slope.
4
2. Use an excavator to open aey way at the proposed toe of the slope.
3. Water and compact the material using the hauling units (scrapers), bringing the material
up in lifts of 6" or less. This material will be tested for compaction by Ground Engineering.
4. SCHEDULE. We plan to begin the processes of exposing the perimeter and clay stone
during the month of November with completion in January.
TESTING AND CERTIFICATION: See Ground proposal. (Attached)
STABILITY ANALYSIS: See Ground proposal. (Attached).
