EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN
The reclamation plan calls for returning the disturbed areas, after mining and reclamation, to a
land use that is "rangeland ". This land use is consistent with that found in the surrounding
area.
A timetable outlining a description of the reclamation efforts can be found within Exhibit D.
Reclamation will be conducted in a phased manner and will begin when no further disturbance
will occur as a result of the mining activities. In other words, reclamation may happen during
the same time as mining activities are occurring. It is anticipated that reclamation efforts will
occur on a 12 to 18 month cycle until all mining activities have ceased.
BACKFILLING AND GRADING - After the resource is removed, backfilling and grading activities
will commence except for any working gravel faces(s). The stockpiled overburden will be
hauled from its storage area adjacent to the mining area by mobile equipment and placed
where in a fashion to achieve a level and uniform topography. Backfilling and grading will be
done by using one of more of the following: Front -end loader(s), haul truck(s), excavator and a
bulldozer dozer. Efforts will be undertaken to minimize compaction of the soil structure
degradation. Such as, avoidance of repeated driving with equipment over the same area once
the soil has been placed. The overburden material will be replaced to a thickness of two feet
above the mined areas, which is appropriate to establish vegetation communities consistent
with the post mine land use.
RE- VEGETATION - The intent of the re- vegetation is the establishment of plant communities
consistent with the post -mine land use. After soil replacement, seed bed preparation and
stabilization will be conducted and will include one of the following: ripping, disking, harrowing
and /or furrowing. This procedure will assist in minimizing any adverse affects of soil
compaction during the topsoil placement process. Since the seeding will occur over a several
year period, this will allow for continuous analysis of re- vegetation success and determining the
best type of preparation that should be used.
Two types of seeding will be used each of the areas to be seeded are shown on the
accompanying Exhibit F, Reclamation Plan Map. Seeding recommendations, contained within
the initial application, follow:
