RECLAMATION PLAN EXHIBIT E
bl. General Reclamation Plan
The total disturbed area to be reclaimed under this permit is 38. acres. Korinek S &G commits to
having no more that 10 acres of permit area exposed at any time to inc Iu ie areas being stripped
niinina areas. and areas which have vet to be fully reclaimed. The post- mininc land use for the
most of the permit area will be dry rangeland All slopes will have a final r• chimed slope r f
3H:I V or arcater
iialle. _
hi as I o:m+e af -Ft: Map F shows the post- mining land use and topography.
As described in the mining plan, reclamation will occur concurrently with mining. Topsoil and
overburden from the current mining areas will be used to reclaim areas which have previously
been mined. By doing this, the distance that the topsoil and overburden will have to be
transported as well as the amount of material which will have to be rehandled will be minimized.
Additionally, the acreage which is umeclaimed will be minimized, which will make the worst
case reclamation smaller and thus, the bond will be smaller. The top four inches of existing
material will be salvaged for reclamation, although it is poor topsoil. See pictures in Exhibit J. It
is planned that 4 inches of this material will be capped on top of two inches of amended screened
fines for final reclamation.
In general, reclamation will consist of
1. Knockina mining highwalI down and backfillink to 3H• I V or t renter slope
2. Ripping all disturbed areas to a death of two feet in all areas which have two feet of loose
material
3. Applying two inches of screened fines
Korinek #1 Pit August 09 E -1
