Golder conducted appropriate tests as required by the specifications for UF, SSF, FSB, LDF, PBM,
SF, SLF, and DCF.
The laboratory test results are summarized in Tables 5 through 12 and presented in Appendix I.
4.1.1 Grain Size Distribution
Golder analyzed the grain size distribution (gradation). of samples of UF, SSF, FSB, LDF, PBM, SF,
SLF, and DCF. The results of gradation analyses are presented in Appendix I -1 and summarized in
Tables 5 through 12.
Golder performed one CQA gradation of UF. The testing frequency (approximately one test per
400 cubic yards) exceeded the minimum specified testing frequency of one test per 5,000 cubic yards.
The CQA gradation of OF met project specifications. The OF CQA gradation results are presented in
Appendix I -1 and summarized in Table 5.
Golder performed one CQA gradation of the SSF. The testing frequency (approximately one test per
2,030 cubic yards) exceeded the minimum specified testing frequency of one test per 50,000 cubic
yards. The CQA gradation of SSF met project specifications. The SSF CQA gradation results are
presented in Appendix 1 -1 and summarized in Table 6.
Golder performed one CQA gradation of LDF. The testing frequency (approximately one test per
250 cubic yards) exceeded the minimum specified testing frequency of one test per 10,000 cubic
yards. The CQA gradation of LDF met project specifications. The LDF CQA gradation results are
presented in Appendix I-1 and summarized in Table 7.
Golder performed one CQA gradation of PBM. No testing frequency was identified in the CQA Plan
for this material. The CQA gradations of PBM met project specifications. The PBM CQA gradation
results are presented in Appendix I -1 and summarized in Table 8.
