§2.05 APPLICATION FOR PERMIT FOR SURFACE OR UNDERGROUND MINING
ACTIVITIES --MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS FOR OPERATION AND RECLAMATION
PLANS.
distance from the disturbed area to not be affected by surface
activities.
(ii) The rights of present users.
Map 9, Water Rights Location shows the water rights within the
permit and adjacent area of the train loadout and stockpile
areas. The loadout should not affect any water rights. The
loadout has been in operation for over 20 years. There is no
indication that any rights of present users have been affecteds
during this period and there is no reason to believe there will be
any affect on water right users in the future.
(iii) The quantity of surface and ground water.
Because no subsidence is predicted within the permit boundary
of the train loadout and stockpile areas, no impact to the
quantity of surface or groundwater is anticipated and
considered minuscule.
However, the applicant has alternative sources of water to
mitigate any impacts that these mining activities may have on
the quantity of surface and ground water within the permit
boundary of the train loadout and stockpile areas. These
alternative sources are referenced in Volume I -Text, Section
2.05.6(3)(a)(iii).
(iv) The quality of surface and groundwater within and adjacent to
the permit area that may be affected by underground minino.
Not applicable.
TR-020
2.05 - 36
3/01
