EXHIBIT E 1 of 3
7040 W. Mwy. 180 AIMOS8. 00.81101 (719) 58&6871
EXHIBIT E
RECLAMATION PLAN
1. Upon completion of the mining all Phases will have back slopes graded to 4H to 1V
(4:1). All areas will be reseeded in accordance with the recommendations from the
Natural Resource Conservation Service within 12 months after disturbance is complete.
2. (a). All phases will be reclaimed as rangeland. Rangeland is consistent with
surrounding land uses. The total area to be reclaimed for the each phases is as
follows: Phase I = 19.57 acres, Phase II = 35.92 acres and Phase III = 33.89
acres. The back slopes will be formed with earthmoving equipment.
(b). Post mining use will be rangeland, which is the current use of the
surrounding lands.
(c). Upon notification to the Division of Reclamation, Mining and Safety, the
reclamation process will be completed within a five year period. The mined area
will be reseeded with a seed mixture recommended by the Natural Resource
Conservation Service. The slopes will be graded for 4H:1 V slope to create the
final topography. No backfill material will be necessary when making the final
slope. A 41-1:1V slope in the pit will help combat erosion and silting of the affected
land. This will eliminate the need to stabilize any high walls. Once the grading is
complete the land will be prepared to be reclaimed.
(d). Back slopes will be formed during soil extraction. The reclamation
process will be done on any area within 12 months after disturbance is complete.
The seeding plan consists of several different types that exist on the land. The
Natural Resource Conservation Service has identified the vegetation that currently
exist on the property.
