Appendix A — DRMS Form 2 Public
Lynx -Royal JV LLC Egnar HD12009 N01
will be within the larger 30 ft x 65 ft proposed drill pads. For bonding calculations, the entire
1,950 square foot drill pad will be considered "disturbed" although this is highly unlikely. Total
surface disturbance then is estimated to be about 0.224 acres. Given the equipment and mud pit
constraints, a pad can be a more amorphous shape than indicated above as it is configured to fit
around minor topographic and vegetative features. Figure A -1 is a schematic drawing of a
proposed pad with equipment locations and cuttings /fluid flow.
Drill Pdc! In the event that large amounts of water
are encountered during drilling, the pits will be designed and maintained so that only decanted
water is allowed to escape to the surrounding area that is not an ephemeral drainageway.
Some of the access trails and drill pads may require some cutting of brush, tree limbs and
perhaps the removal of a specific pinion or juniper tree. Cut material will be temporarily placed
in a pile or piles adjacent to the access trail or drill site, and then scattered back over the trail or
site during reclamation. See Attachment B for a photo record of most of the proposed drill sites
and access trails.
Drill Hole Abandonment
No more than two drill holes will be left open at any one time.
A) Plugging Procedure
